An extremely fine and rare example circa 1940-45 of this war raised cavalry unit by Herbert Johnson. Buff crown and body with black curtain and peak all bullion piped. A finely embroidered silver wire and green silk cap badge on the left side. The curtain has two flat gilt regimental buttons to the front. Silk linimg with tailor's details and bearing Cash's name tape with owner's initials F.G.L
Raised 30th December 1940, stood down at the end of the war and officially disbanded in June 1948.
