33rd (Tottenham & Edmonton) Middlesex RV Victorian pouch belt plate

A fine rare die-stamped lightly silvered Officere's example circa 1860 on two screw posts. Set on a lined cross with a beaded edge, a circlet “33 Middlesex”; cypher to lined centre. Raised boss on each arm of the cross. Formed 12th February, 1860 as part of 6th Admin Bn. Consolidated as ‘G’ Company, 3rd MC RVC in 1880; 3rd redesignated 1st VB Middlesex Regt. in 1881 but did not assume the title until 1898.
