Fine rare silver-plated interlocking example circa 1856-81 with matching bench marks to each half. Circlet inscribed ROYAL MEATH MILITIA; seeded centre mounted with shamrock in relief ornamented with small shamrock sprays. Universal pattern rococo ends.
Headquarters at Limerick, became 5th Bn. Leinster Regiment 1st July 1881.
