King’s Royal Rifle Corps Victorian HM 1896 silver pouch belt plate

Very fine die-stamped 1896 Birmingham hallmarked silver Officer's example by J & Co. (Jennens). Maltese cross surmounted by a crown resting on a tablet inscribed ‘Celer et Audax’. On the cross, a circlet inscribed ‘The King’s Royal Rifle Corps’, to the centre a strung bugle. The arms of the cross bearing numerous honours to ‘Tel-el-Kebir’. Four screw posts to reverse, complete with backing plate.
