London Scottish Officer’s attributed silver plaid brooch

A very fine scarce large early example by Ludlow & Co. Plain burnished silver quoit mounted with thistle wreath and surmounted by a Crown with the Cross extending beyond the top of the quoit. To the centre, a Lion Rampant; below the wreath, a furled scroll inscribed “The London Scottish”. Stout pin to reverse which is impressed L & Co., “SILVER” and finely engraved “2 LT. S.W. CRAWFORD”. Approx. diameter 9.3 cm
