A rare Georgian Officer's coatee to a local militia in remarkable condition. Scarlet cloth with black facings, complete with all its gilt buttons (69) and bullion bugle tail ornaments. Ornate cord circular ornamentation on the shoulder and down the front, One or two moth holes mainly to lining.

Unit raised in Manchester 24th September 1808 commanded by Lt. Col. John Sivester. Disbanded 1816.
