An extremely fine and scarce die-stamped example. Silvered thistle wreath surmounted by the Duke’s Crest in gilt. To the centre, gilt AEA Cypher resting on gilt scroll inscribed “The Duke of Edinburgh’s Own”. The Cypher is surmounted by a silvered label of cadency. To the base of the wreath, an applied gun. Five screw posts to reverse. Excellent condition.
