A good die-stamped lightly silvered example circa 1888-1908 of Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders pattern bearing Elephant and howdah surmounted by a scroll inscribed “FORTITUDO ET FIDELITAS” set within a circlet inscribed “DUMBARTONSHIRE VOLUNTEERS”. Two loops to reverse.
