A good scarce die-stamped lightly silver example. Crowned strap; mounted to the centre a Union spray resting on a scroll inscribed “20TH MIDDLESEX” and surmounted  by  a scroll inscribed “PRO ARIS  ET FOCIS”. Two screw posts to reverse.
HQ at Euston Square. 1880 redesignated as 11th (Railway) Corps and in 1881 attached to the KRRC as a volunteer battalion, 1882 transferred to the Middlesex Regt. and finally becoming 3rd VB Royal Fusiliers in March 1890.
