51st (2nd Yorkshire, West Riding) King’s Own Light Infantry George IV Officer’s shoulder belt plate circa 1821. A fine and rare seeded gilt rope edged rectangular plate mounted with silver crowned laurel wreath and lower “Ich Dean” scroll; within the wreath, a strung bugle with “51” between the cords. Reverse retains two hooks at the top and two studs at the bottom. Minor service wear. (Parkyn 407)
