An exceptionally fine and rare example worn n the 1844-55 “Albert” shako. Rich gilt crowned star mounted with sprays of laurel and of palm surmounded ny "ARABIA" scroll and bearind "INDIA" on the base. Centrally a flaming renade with strap “2ND YORK NRTH RIDING" with seeded '65' to burnished gilt centre. Royal Tiger beneath the sprays. Reverse retains both original horizontal loops and all four wires behind the Crown. Orb and cross surmounting crown now absent otherwise a splendid piece.
