A very fine and exceptionally scarce 1901/02 silver and gilt interlocking example with matching numbers to both halves. Circlet inscribed “THE ROYAL FUSILIERS”; seeded gilt centre mounted with silver Rose surmounted by a Crown. Universal pattern rococo ends.
King Edward VII ascended the Throne upon the death of Queen Victoria 22nd January 1901. The dress sword belt was abolished by Army Order 39/1902 issued 1st February 1902.
