Scottish. Black Watch Victorian Officer’s dirk belt clasp c1881-1901

A good scarce example. Gilt seeded rectangular plate with burnished edges mounted with silver Star of the Order of the Thistle in turn mounted with crowned gilt thistle sprays, motto, scrollsand Sphinx, silver St.Andrew and the Cross to centre. Fixed loop present, detachable belt loop absent.
