12th Royal Lancer's Edwardian Other Ranks lance cap

A good example with black patent leather body, peak and crown top with ornate brass foliage bosses to each corner.  Stiched red cloth upper with yellow cord to each corner rising to the corner bosses.Regimental post 1905 brass lance plate to the front.  Last battle honour being “Relief of Kimberley”.  Lion head bosses to each side support the refurbished leather backed brass chin chain.  Yellow woollen boss with central blue section, bearing regimental Victorian button, supports the scarlet horsehair plume in brass acanthus leaf socket.  Leather and waxed cotton sweatband lining and the crown with feint 1901 issue stamp.  The cap retains a good shape.
