Boer War 5th IY Rosette, signed unit history, pochet watch & knife

A fine rare small tranche of items to one man, sadly name unknown. 1. 5th IY Rosette regimentally adapted from Universal Pattern by moving up the Prince of Wales' plumes and adding the "5". 2. "On Active Service with the Northumberland and Durham Yeomen. South Africa 1900-01" which depicts a mounted Yeoman and the rosette on the cover; signed "Yours Sincerely Karl B. Spurgin" the author. Several illustrations. Some pages loose. 3. "Defiance" pcket watch (not working) 4. Clasp knife by Witness bearing ever open eye with blade (tip snapped), sharp claw, button stick and corkscrew.
