A very fine and scarce silver and gilt example with non matching bench marks to both halves. Circlet inscribed “The Lucknow Regiment”; centre mounted with silver turreted gateway surmounted by “16”; scroll inscribed “Defence of Lucknow” across the gateway. Universal pattern rococo ends. Some wear to gilt. Became 10th Bn (The Lucknow Regiment) 7th Rajputs in 1922
