A fine scarce die-stamped silvered example on stout horizontal pagri pin. Bugle strung from Prince of Wales’s plumes; floreate “CLI” cypher between the cords. Raised in 1st April, 1881 as a single battalion with 14 companies under Lieut- Colonel John Scott Armitage. Colonel was HRH Albert Edward, the Prince of Wales.
