A fine and scarce example by R & HB Kirkwood, 66 & 68 Thistle St. Edinburgh. Two and a quarter inch thistle ornamented gold lace lined with red Morocco retaining gilt rectangular plate with silver mounts comprising, a Royal Duke’s coronet over “L”, a stag’s head cabossed below and at the bottom a scroll, “Tulloch Ard”. Lace fresh, plate with service wear.
