A good scarce cast blackened example circa 1859-80. Crowned strap ornamented with floral scrolls. Within the strap, another strap “MIDDLESEX RIFLE VOLUNTEERS”; centrally an ornate shield bearing “19” on a lined ground. Upward facing hook and two screw posts to reverse.
