A very fine and scarce example circa 1845.  Finely seeded ectangular gilt plate with burnished edges mounted with silver crowned strap "1ST YORKSHIRE WEST  RIDING REGIMENT" with "SERINGAPATAM  WATERLOO" bi-part honour scroll below. To the centre, “33” within laurel wreath. Two hooks and two studs to reverse, complete with leather liner.
