A good scarce example of the Home Service Pattern blue cloth helmet by Hawkes & Co 14 Piccadilly complete with gilt metal cross piece, spike and rose head bosses which secure the velvet backed chin chain.  To the front, a gilt metal crowned star mounted by Garter recting in laurel sprays bearing scroll The Royal Warwickshire Regiment, Black velver centre bearing the Antelope with collar and chain,  Retains purple silk topped leather calf sweatband to interior. as well as owner.s paper label. Two moth hole to rear side.
